Oboko Spa Hotel is in Yakumo Town, which is the only city in Japan that faces
both the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Japan. The name in “Oboko” originates
from Mt. Oboko because this hotel is located at the base of Mt. Oboko.
Although Oboko Spa Hotel was opened in 1980, hot spring has gushed
ince 1860’s. Before Hotel was opened, this hot spring was the place of
healing for miners and/or townspeople. In addition, this hot spring is
commonly known as hot spring for beautiful skin.
Nature around Oboko Spa Hotel is remarkably beautiful throughout the year;
examples are the murmuring of a stream, birds singing, fresh green, autumn
leaves, and snow viewing at the open-air bath. Furthermore, Oboko Spa Hotel
serves fresh and delicious seasonal food, such as mountain products and marine
